As seen in this 2005 performance by Jay-Z, his delivery is very subtle and not like what we would see today. I first would like to point out his choice of clothing. It seems like he is wearing a regular outfit that anyone from that time would wear. He has on a few accessories, but nothing out of the ordinary. As for the actual performance, Jay-z is only rapping, not doing any choreography like artists would typically do today. Also, the music is live, the instruments are live, and it is more of Jay-Z rapping rather than having the songs play in the background like what many artists do. Lastly, the audience seems like a fair crowd of people, whereas today many concerts are filled with hundreds of people.
