As you can see the hip hop aesthetics that changed in Jay Z performance were a couple different things. Back in 2005, baggy clothing was worn by most if not all rappers and emcees. Here, the artist is dressed as if he were attending a formal event alongside his wife who is also dressed to impress. The beginning of the performance had a much more dramatic delivery than the older performances. Flashing lights and fireworks were included in this performance. In this performance, the music is much louder and certainly not live, and while the artists perform they include lots of improvisation, contrary to older performances. Along with the dancing, the performers are just more lively and active on the stage. Lastly, this crowd is much larger and the venue itself is much larger, evidently to fit as many people as possible.
